Itaparica, Bahia, 1984. Sahatsa Jauregi Azkarate has worked in the field of art since she graduated with a degree in Fine Arts (UPV/EHU). She has shown both individually and collectively in different spaces, including Espacio Abisal (Bilbao), the Montehermoso Cultural Centre (Vitoria-Gasteiz), Koldo Mitxelena Cultural Centre (Donostia-San Sebastian), and CarrerasMugica (Bilbao). She has received various awards, such as the Gipuzkoa New Artists Programme (2013) and Ertibil (2017), and has completed artistic residencies at the Pacific Film Archive (Berkeley, CA), the BilbaoArte Foundation (Bilbao), and Consonni (Bilbao). Sahatsa Jauregi Azkarate was responsible for the design and organisation of exhibitions such as Black Is Beltza, Azkuna Zentroa (Bilbao) / Arts Santa Mònica (Barcelona), and Tirabirak, DSS2016 (Donostia-San Sebastian).
