fourth good living artistic residency -karrantza 2020-
The Mutur Beltz Association presents the Fourth Good Living Artistic Residency in Karrantza in 2020. With the aim of expanding the space for reflection, debate and dissemination regarding the state of the world of sheep and shepherds in Karrantza from the perspective of art.
Due to the health alert by Covid-19, from the association Mutur Beltz we have made different changes in the programming. For this reason, we are working on adapting the times and formats to the situation.
We have maintained the public call for artistic projects.
The selected artist was María José Ribas Bermúdez (Palma, Illes Balears, 1982). Her project aims to question people in the local community about the definition of good living. In addition, this fourth edition, we will have as guest artist Asunción Molino Gordo (Aranda de Duero, Burgos, 1979). A visual artist with a broad career, her main focus of his work is the contemporary peasantry.
For a week these two artists will live together with the collective Mutur Beltz. Experiencing day by day to look from the rural. In this way, they will be able to get to know part of the pastoral work of the Valley. Each artist carries out a project and the dissemination of this is presented in different formats: open days, talks, debates, publication and exhibition.
