The intention of this project is to carry out a kind of “repair” of certain established models; the intention is to begin an investigation, but also a process of disassembly and reassembly that has an impact on this possibility of reconstruction from a gender perspective on the one hand and from an experimental aspect on the other, taking these two ideas as fundamental aspects of the work process. Appropriation, disassembly, reassembly, intervention, repair, reconstruction, and so on.

Of Thus, the gender perspective would come into conflict with the theory of cinematographic genders and the experimental aspect would concentrate on appropriation, the “re-signification” and the correction of certain landmarks, models, conducts and roles of women in the cinema.

It does not involve “subversion” or “transgression” but the repairing of some of the mannerisms of cinematographic genders in which several generations of women and men have been educated.

The experimental process, artistic investigation, seems to be a territory in which it is possible to make certain transformations of meaning, certain alterations in the images, in the aesthetics and policies of visibility that cause us to question rigid models, such as cinematographic genders on which the audiovisual production is based.
